Dear Parents and Guardians,
The purpose of parent/teacher conferences is to build a positive, collaborative and productive relationship between home and school. We are able to best support the academic and social emotional needs of our students when it is a team effort.
This year’s parent/teacher conferences will be held virtually, in keeping in alignment with the local health department’s and IDPH’s guidelines for social distancing. Below are links to sign up for the meetings. Although we would like to “see” you, you do not need to have access to the internet to have your conference. There is an option to simply use a telephone, if necessary.
You will need to sign up for each of your children separately by clicking each teacher’s name. Please keep in mind that you will meet with your child’s homeroom teacher. In cases where your child has more than one teacher (3rd and 4th or Jr. High), the teachers have collaborated to prepare for the conference. You will not need to meet with all of them, but you can request meetings with any of your child’s teachers when you sign up.
We also ask that parents in different households with shared/joint custody please coordinate with one another regarding parent-teacher conference sign up. Only 1 parent should sign up for the conference and then you will need to add the other to the conference and share the confirmation link.
When you are finished, you will receive a confirmation, please write it down. If you have a Google Calendar linked to the email you give us when signing up, the appointment should automatically be placed on your calendar. In any case, you should receive an email and/or text reminder of the appointment closer to the meeting time.
We encourage parents to indicate specific areas you wish to discuss in the text box when you sign up so that the teachers can prepare and ensure that your questions and concerns are addressed.
Please have your appointment scheduled no later than Friday, November 13 so that teachers have ample time to prepare.
Thank you for your continued support!
Mr. Linnig, Superintendent
Mrs. Rossman, Principal/5-8 Science Teacher
