District Updates/Reminders

Dear Dimmick Families,

As the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in our counties, region and state I want to remind you that we need everyone remain vigilant and to do their part in controlling the spread of this disease.  The District continues to follow all IDPH and LaSalle County Health Department preventative measures including daily symptom screening, social distancing, wearing masks, regular hand sanitizing with soap and water/hand sanitizer as well as increased facilities sanitation measures.

We are working hard to ensure that we can continue to safely provide high quality, in-person learning as we believe there is no substitute; however, we cannot do it alone. We are asking all parents and staff members to follow the IDPH and LaSalle County Health Department guidelines outside of school as well.  All the measures we have in place will only be effective if all of our families are adhering to them.  In order to successfully navigate through this school year and remain open during the pandemic we need everyone to do their part.

I also want to remind all parents that school will not be in session on Tuesday, November 3 in observance of Election Day.  We want to encourage all registered voters to get out and vote.

Information will be sent out later today regarding the upcoming parent-teacher conferences scheduled for Monday, November 23 and Tuesday November 24.

I hope everyone has a great week and I want to thank you for your continued support of our students, staff an school district.

Mr. Ryan Linnig
